Tokunbo.io `("we," "us," "our")` provides car‑pricing insights, VIN Reports, and AI‑assisted analysis to help you make informed decisions. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

1. Who We Are

Tokunbo.io is operated by Prima Boost Limited. We act as a data controller for data we collect and a data processor when we handle data on behalf of partners.

2. What We Collect

A. Account & Contact Data

  • Name, email, phone number (optional), password,
  • country/region. Business/dealer info if you sign up as a partner.

B. Usage & Device Data

  • Log data (IP, browser/OS, pages viewed, timestamps), device identifiers, referral URLs, cookie IDs, approximate location (derived from IP).

C. Purchase & Payment Data

  • Order details (VINs requested, products purchased, timestamps, amounts).
  • Payment data is processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.

D. VIN Report Data

  • VIN, plate (if provided), make/model/year/trim, odometer readings, title/registration status, lien/salvage/theft checks, auction footprints, prior listing data, options, service/recall records (where available).
  • Sources: what you provide, our data providers, publicly available records, and partner submissions.

E. Accident Images & AI Inputs

  • Photos you upload or links you provide. Images may incidentally contain personal data (e.g., license plates, faces, home addresses).
  • AI Inputs: the VIN Report and images you ask us to analyze, plus any prompts/notes you enter.

Important: Please avoid uploading images that contain people, children, private residences, plates, or documents. If you must, use our redaction tools or request redaction (see §9).

3. How We Use Your Data

We process data to:

  • Provide Services: deliver VIN Reports, show price ranges and trends, and run AI analysis (e.g., damage detection, rebuildability scoring, and narrative summaries).
  • Improve & Secure: monitor performance, prevent fraud/abuse, debug issues, and enhance models and features.
  • Communicate: send receipts, service notices, and product updates (you can opt out of marketing anytime).
  • Compliance: meet legal, tax, and audit obligations; handle disputes and enforce terms.
  • Curated Partner Lot: when you view or inquire about a car in our partner lot, we may share your inquiry details with the listing partner to facilitate contact (see §5).

Automated decisions: Our AI outputs are advisory (estimates, likelihoods, scores). We do not make credit, insurance, or legal decisions about you. You may request human review of a significant AI output impacting you (see §9).

4. AI & Image Processing

  • We use cloud infrastructure and trusted AI providers to analyze VIN data and images you submit.
  • Where feasible, we blur or mask plates and faces detected in images we store or display.
  • We log prompts and model outputs to improve system reliability and detect abuse.
  • We don’t use your private images or reports to train public models; any model improvement is via aggregated, de‑identified analytics.

5. When We Share Data

We share data only as needed:

  • Service Providers/Processors: hosting/CDN, analytics, customer support, email/SMS, payment processing, fraud prevention, and AI processing.
  • VIN Data Providers: to retrieve and verify report information for the VIN you request.
  • Curated Partner Lot: if you choose to contact or "request more info," we share the inquiry with that partner.
  • Legal/Compliance: if required by law, regulation, court order, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
  • Business Transfers: in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your data may transfer under equivalent protections.

We do not sell your personal data.

6. Legal Bases / Our Reasons

We only process your data when we have a good reason, like delivering your reports, improving our service, following the law, or with your permission.

7. Retention

We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes above:

  • Account data: while your account is active, then for a reasonable period for records/security.
  • VIN Reports & AI outputs: typically 24 months to enable re‑download, audits, and dispute resolution, unless you request earlier deletion (or longer retention is legally required).
  • Transaction records: kept as required by tax/audit laws.
  • Logs & analytics: typically 12–24 months in aggregate/de‑identified form.

We will honor deletion requests. However, we must retain data for legal reasons (see §9).

8. International Transfers

We may store and process data on servers outside your country, and we take steps to keep it protected.

9. Your Rights & Choices

Subject to applicable law, you can:

  • Access a copy of your data.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Delete your data (we will also instruct processors, where applicable).
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Port data to another service (where feasible).
  • Opt out of marketing emails anytime.
  • Request human review of important AI outputs that affect you.
  • Request redaction (e.g., blur plates/faces) or removal of accident images you uploaded.

How to submit: Email support@tokunbo.io from the address on your account. We may ask for verification to protect your data.

10. Security

We use technical and organizational measures such as encryption in transit/at rest, access controls, key management, monitoring, and least‑privilege practices. No system is 100% secure, but we work continuously to reduce risk.

11. Cookies & Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Keep you signed in and deliver core features.
  • Measure traffic and performance.
  • Remember preferences.

You can manage cookies in your browser or via our Cookie Settings (if available). Blocking some cookies may affect site functionality.

12. Third‑Party Links

Our site may link to third‑party services (e.g., dealers in the partner lot). Their privacy practices are their own. Review their policies before sharing information.
